Our regular community event is Park Day, held in conjunction with the Auckland Park Residents' Association and the Brixton Community Forum on the Second Saturday of every month.
Tea garden to raise funds for the Brixton Community Forum events and park maintenance. R35 buys you tea or coffee and slice of delicious cake made by Agnes from Zietsies (her cakes a world famous!) Come and sit under the trees and indulge in one of life's greatest pleasures!Clean up includes picking up litter on the Brixton Steps and weeding in Kingston Frost Park. Roll up your sleeves and help us make Brixton beautiful! Kids will be entertained at the Club House next to the tennis courts with cupcake decorating and an Easter egg hunt. Artists can keep busy in the alley near the Water Tower between Barnes and Fulham - bring a small paintbrush and old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and get to work with paint kindly donated by Riaan Jacobs and his company, Dream Sets. This will be epic when it's finished! Can't wait! Please bring a hat - it's hot out there! We will be collecting batteries, printer ink cartridges, energy-saving compact fluorescent light bulbs for recycling at every Park Day. Bring your recycling to the Club House next to the tennis courts.
